We're looking for a Machinist to join our custom job shop team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on machining work, takes pride in precision, and values working safely as part of a collaborative team.What You'll Do Set up, adjust, and operate manual and CNC machines for a wide variety of custom machining work Plan and select feeds, speeds, tooling, workholding, and cutting sequences Machine parts with close tolerances and quality finish requirements Work from drawings, specifications, and sketches Use precision measuring instruments to inspect your own work Edit feeds and speeds and load existing CNC programs Grind tools, including form tools, and recommend tooling improvements Assist other machinists and operators as needed Safely handle materials, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and operating cranes Follow all safety requirements and demonstrate safe work practicesWhat You Bring High school diploma or equivalent experience At least 4 years of machine shop experience (stainless steel experience preferred) Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read complex blueprints Ability to set up and operate manual and CNC machines Experience using precision measuring instruments Solid shop math skills (fractions, decimals, conversions) Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP) Reliable, detail-oriented, and quality-focused Team-first mindset with a strong ownership mentalityWhy Sentry 100% Employee-Owned (ESOP) - your craftsmanship directly impacts shared success Steady work in a custom job shop environment Strong safety culture and well-maintained equipment Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits A team that values skill, pride in work, and continuous improvement If you take pride in precision machining and want to work somewhere your skills truly matter, we'd love to hear from you.
