Position Summary: Reporting to the company’s Vice President - General Counsel, this role offers the opportunity to work in a broad-based, in-house legal position that supports the business’s daily operations and long-term goals. The successful candidate will provide legal guidance across a variety of practice areas, working closely with colleagues in the legal department, internal stakeholders in other departments, and outside legal counsel.**Key Responsibilities:**The Legal Counsel IV is expected to possess at least six years of experience handling a combination of the following matters:**Transactional Work:** Draft, negotiate, and provide post-execution support for a wide-range of business-to-business transactions, including:* Construction contracts;* Real estate leases;* Asset purchase agreements;* Software licensing agreements;* Marketing agreements; and* Non-disclosure agreements**Employment Law:** Advise HR professionals and business managers on employment-related issues such as:* Employee misconduct investigations;* Employee handbook drafting and enforcement;* Background checks and payroll practices; and* Leave requests and workplace accommodation**Dispute Resolution and Litigation Management:*** Resolve pre-litigation claims brought by customers, business partners, and former employees;* Oversee and manage outside legal counsel in active litigation matters**Required Qualifications:*** Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school* Licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction* At least six years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department* Strong drafting, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment* Practical, business-minded approach to legal risk-assessment and problem-solving**What Do We Offer You as a Service Experts Employee?** Service Experts offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees and their families in managing their health and wellness needs, including:* Competitive Pay with incentive opportunities* Paid Time Off and Company Holiday Pay* Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance programs* 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with company matching contributions* Life Insurance and disability insurance options* Supplemental benefit programs* World Class Training opportunities through our Experts University* Career Development opportunities• Minimum Experience: 6+ years• Minimum Education: Bachelor's DegreeEqual Opportunity Employer.
