Summary

Theoris is assisting our client in their search for a Product Owner. This role is responsible for managing the team backlog, defining user stories, and ensuring the development team delivers value aligned with the product vision and roadmap established by the Product Manager.
This is a highly client-facing role requiring strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team-oriented environment, working alongside a group of Product Owners while leading their own dedicated Scrum Team.
The organization is currently modernizing processes and driving roadmap initiatives through close collaboration with Business Analysts using whiteboarding sessions and workflows.


Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Product Manager to understand product vision, roadmap, and feature priorities
• Own and manage the team backlog, prioritizing user stories to maximize business value
• Create detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria
• Participate in PI Planning, system demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops within a SAFe framework
• Serve as the voice of the customer within the Agile team
• Work closely with Scrum Teams, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery
• Support roadmap planning and modernization initiatives
• Contribute to standardized Product Owner processes across multiple Agile teams

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a government security background investigation (approximately 4-week process)
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a technical environment
• Strong experience with Agile/Scrum and SAFe methodologies
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Azure experience strongly preferred
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong client-facing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Background supporting enterprise SaaS or platform products
• SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification (or equivalent)
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Degree in Computer Information Systems, Project Management, Software Engineering, or related field preferred
