Job Description

Job Summary:
CT technologists operate advanced computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce detailed cross-sectional images of internal organs and tissues, aiding in accurate diagnoses. They interpret physician instructions, administer contrast materials, and ensure optimal imaging quality while maintaining safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CT scanning equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
• Review physician orders for accuracy and verify appropriate procedures.
• Position patients correctly and optimize technical factors for each scan.
• Ensure all images meet diagnostic standards, including demographic and measurement data.
• Follow safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and respond promptly to emergency situations.

Qualifications:

• Hold an accredited Radiology Technology degree or equivalent.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of CT experience or as determined by the Department Manager.
• Hold or qualify for a valid MA DPH Radiology License.
• ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (CT) certification preferred, to be obtained within two years of hire.
• Demonstrate technical proficiency with CT scanners, including proper positioning and technical adjustments.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, dependability, and a patient-centered approach.
