Global Product Leader

Some roles exist to manage processes. This one exists to make consequential decisions about medicines that matter to patients with serious diseases - and to ensure those decisions are made well, at pace, and with the full weight of evidence behind them.

CSL Behring is seeking a Global Product Leader (GPL) to take end-to-end ownership of a late-stage development asset, from late research transition through development, commercialization, and lifecycle management. The accountability is real: for strategy, for delivery, and for the value the asset creates across its lifetime.

The Role

As GPL, you will sit on the Therapeutic Area Leadership Team and represent the asset at CSL's most senior governance forums. You will lead a global, cross-functional Product Strategy Team - bringing together clinical, regulatory, commercial, manufacturing, and scientific expertise into a coherent, executable plan. You will own the asset strategy, drive it through governance with clear, well-framed recommendations, and ensure the organization moves decisively when decisions are needed.

The scope is broad. You will integrate competitive intelligence, payer dynamics, patient insights, and evolving clinical data into strategic trade-offs. You will lead lifecycle value creation - label expansions, new indications, geographic reach. You will represent CSL externally, including in due diligence and partnership contexts. Your thinking will be tested by people who know the science, the market, and the economics - and it needs to hold up.

Leadership here means influence rather than line authority: building alignment across functions and sustaining it through organizational complexity, competing priorities, and the inevitable turbulence of long development programs.

What You'll Be Responsible For

You will own the Product Strategy Plan and keep it current as data and conditions evolve - balancing honest advocacy for the asset with the objectivity to adjust when the evidence calls for it. You will prepare governance bodies to make good decisions by giving them well-structured options, clear trade-offs, and a recommendation you're willing to defend. You will anticipate risks and surface them early, rather than letting surprises reach the wrong moment.

You will shape a team culture where problems are raised before they escalate, accountability is shared, and the work moves with both strategic clarity and execution discipline. You will contribute to building the next generation of product leaders at CSL and to the continued development of the GPL function itself.

What We're Looking For

You likely have 12 or more years in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical development, with experience that spans the value chain - from late research or early clinical stages through to commercialization or market access. You have owned an asset in a meaningful sense: responsible for its direction and outcomes, not just its coordination.

You can hold a position under pressure and revise it when the data warrant. You can read a complex situation - scientific, organizational, commercial - and turn it into a clear narrative and a plan that people will follow.

An advanced degree is required; a PhD, MD, PharmD, or MBA is preferred. Therapeutic area expertise in CSL Behring's portfolio is an advantage, though not a prerequisite for the right candidate.

Hybrid, 3 days a week onsite, plus business travel
