3DEXL is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented person to join our 3D printing and fulfillment operation. This is a hands-on position that combines 3D print production, inventory management, and Amazon FBA replenishment.

A major responsibility of this role will be managing the Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) side of our business. We maintain inventory at multiple Amazon fulfillment warehouses across the country, and this person will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, determining when inventory needs to be replenished, deciding appropriate quantities to send, and preparing the labels and paperwork required for those shipments.

This is not strictly a desk job. Each day will also involve working directly with our 3D printer farm and the products coming off the printers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Monitor Amazon FBA inventory levels on a daily basis
• Determine when products need to be replenished at Amazon fulfillment centers
• Decide appropriate replenishment quantities based on current inventory and sales activity
• Generate Amazon FBA shipment plans, product labels, box labels, and related paperwork
• Coordinate inventory shipments to approximately five Amazon fulfillment warehouses across the United States
• Maintain sufficient inventory levels while avoiding unnecessary overstock
• Harvest completed parts from 3D printers
• Prepare and finish 3D printed parts after production
• Inspect parts for basic quality issues
• Sort, organize, and stage finished inventory
• Occasionally pick and pack customer or inventory orders
• Assist other production and fulfillment staff as needed
• Keep work areas organized and inventory accurately accounted for

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, paying attention to details, and making routine inventory decisions without needing constant direction.

You should:

• Be comfortable using a computer and learning new software
• Be good with your hands and comfortable performing repetitive hands-on work
• Have strong attention to detail
• Be organized and able to keep track of multiple products and inventory levels
• Be comfortable working with numbers and quantities
• Be dependable and able to maintain a consistent Monday–Friday schedule
• Be able to switch between computer-based tasks and hands-on production work throughout the day
• Be capable of identifying problems and making reasonable day-to-day decisions
• Be willing to help wherever needed in a small-business production environment

Experience with Amazon Seller Central, FBA, inventory management, shipping, manufacturing, or 3D printing is helpful but not required. We can train the right person on our specific systems and processes.

About the Position

This role is best suited for someone who likes a combination of computer work and hands-on work. You may spend part of the day reviewing inventory and preparing Amazon shipments, then move into the production area to harvest printers, prepare parts, organize inventory, or assist with fulfillment.

The FBA inventory portion of the job requires judgment rather than simply following a fixed list of tasks. You will be expected to regularly review inventory levels and make decisions about what needs to be sent, when it needs to be sent, and how much inventory should be replenished.
