Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, providing excellent customer service, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with Pennsylvania state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and process new and refill prescription orders
• Enter prescription information accurately into the pharmacy management system
• Prepare and label prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist
• Process third-party insurance claims and assist with claim resolution
• Provide friendly, professional customer service in person and over the phone
• Maintain medication inventory, stock shelves, and monitor expiration dates
• Assist with medication synchronization and prescription refill reminders
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
• Keep the pharmacy clean, organized, and compliant with all applicable regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacist
• Willingness to obtain Pharmacy Technician license and/or completing Pharmacy Technician Trainee program on your own accord within 2 years

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Current Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician registration (if required by employer/state regulations)
• National certification (PTCB or ExCPT) - preferred but not required
• Previous pharmacy experience - preferred but not required
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer proficiency
