Electrician I

The City Electrician coordinates, constructs, maintains, and upgrades electrical systems and related City infrastructure, including traffic control devices, street lighting, lift stations, public buildings, park facilities, and ESDA sirens. Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent from a recognized educational institution• Moderate understanding and experience as an electrician or in a closely related field• Must show growing levels of understanding in the first ninety (90) days of employment• Illinois Class B CDL Vehicle Operators License• Electrical License or ability to obtain within one (1) year of employment


Special Requirements

Employees of the City must establish their principal residence within forty-five (45) miles of the City of Danville corporate limits within six (6) months following successful completion of their probationary period.
