Assistant General Counsel - Managed Services Organization

Cencora seeks an Assistant General Counsel to provide legal services and strategic counsel to its Managed Services Organizations and physician practices. The role involves managing legal projects, mentoring staff, negotiating contracts, and ensuring healthcare compliance within the MSO sector.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver legal services addressing MSO and physician practice regulatory and operational needs
  • Manage and mentor legal professionals in healthcare compliance and business strategy
  • Lead contract negotiations involving legal and business interests for MSO-related agreements
  • Provide business-oriented, legally compliant recommendations to healthcare clients
  • Oversee significant legal projects and manage multiple matters with effective prioritization

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of legal experience with strong healthcare law focus
  • Law degree from accredited institution and state bar admission
  • Deep knowledge of Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, and Stark Law
  • Experience negotiating and structuring MSO contracts and healthcare provider agreements
  • Proven ability to supervise outside counsel and manage complex legal matters independently
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Compensation: $150,000 - $235,070
