About the Role

This is the first dedicated growth hire at a venture-backed conversational AI company building self-improving agents for autonomous product demos. The company raised a seed round and scaled to 100-plus customers in under 60 days, and now needs someone to own the entire top-of-funnel engine: MQL generation, content, paid acquisition, SEO, organic social, events, and the narrative that ties it all together. You will work directly with the CEO and build from scratch, so the role carries real ownership and real accountability from day one.

The right person is an executor first. You have 2 to 8 years of B2B growth or marketing experience at a venture-backed startup (seed through Series B), a strong eye for design and brand polish, and the ability to write compelling copy yourself rather than waiting on someone else to do it. You are comfortable running quantitative experiments, managing distribution loops across multiple channels simultaneously, and communicating ideas in three sentences rather than thirty slides. Pure strategists or candidates who have only worked inside large, established marketing orgs are not the right fit here.

Key Responsibilities

1. Own top-of-funnel MQL generation across content, paid acquisition, SEO, and organic social to drive qualified traffic into product demos
2. Build and manage content engines and distribution loops spanning founder-led social, events, partnerships, and outbound channels
3. Run structured growth experiments using A/B testing across messaging, channels, and campaigns, tying results directly to pipeline outcomes
4. Write core marketing assets yourself: homepage copy, landing pages, case studies, launch posts, and outbound sequences
5. Shape and maintain the company narrative in close collaboration with the CEO, ensuring consistency across every external touchpoint
6. Coordinate with design teams and agencies while holding a high bar for polish and brand detail on all external-facing work
7. Track north-star metrics around top-of-funnel MQLs and report progress in a clear, concise, and quantitative way

Required Skills & Experience

• 2 to 8 years of B2B growth or marketing experience at a venture-backed startup (seed to Series B)
• Currently serving as a first or early growth and marketing hire at a venture-backed startup
• Proven ability to execute across multiple channels (content, paid, SEO, social) without delegating core work to others
• Strong copywriting skills with the ability to produce polished marketing assets independently
• Quantitative approach to experimentation with a track record of running A/B tests tied to pipeline outcomes
• Strong design sensibility and eye for brand polish
• Concise and clear communicator who can convey ideas quickly and precisely
• Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco; available five days per week onsite
• H-1B transfers supported; new H-1B sponsorship is not available

Preferred Skills

• Experience at companies known for strong design language or in the go-to-market tooling space
• Background in MBB consulting (McKinsey, Bain, or BCG) combined with current early-stage startup experience
• Familiarity with the conversational AI or sales-tech ecosystem
