For the past 40 years our team of skilled tradesmen have utilized industry-leading innovations in design, superior craftsmanship, and customization to construct modular homes in our climate-controlled state of the art factory located in Wingdale, NY near the Connecticut border.  Building efficiently in a weather protected environment, with on-time delivery, and cost control, is the essence of modular construction and has made systems-built housing one of the fastest growing segments in the housing industry.

We are seeking a full-time detail-oriented draftsperson who is passionate, adaptable, and motivated to join our dynamic team.  The ideal candidate will have experience using AutoCAD and knowledge of wood-frame construction standards.  You will work closely with architects, engineers, and plant production staff to ensure every home meets design intent, building codes, and manufacturing tolerances.

Responsibilities:

  Develop detailed architectural and structural drawings (floor plans, elevations, cross-sections) through mechanical and final drawings.

  Convert architect/engineer concepts and sketches into fully dimensioned, code-compliant construction documents.

  Responsible for interpreting sales orders to draft plans according to supplied specifications.

  Proficient in visualizing a project through the production process.

  Communicate and collaborate with sales and production teams to ensure accuracy and quality.

  Maintain, track, and plan tasks according to the production schedule to meet weekly goals.

  Troubleshoot any foreseen complications ahead of production.

Minimum Requirements:

  Highly proficient in AutoCAD 2D drafting ; experience with MS Office.

  2 or 4 year degree, OR equivalent experience required.

  Solid understanding of drafting techniques and construction terminology.

  Technical detailing knowledge of construction methods and construction documents.

  Experience in wood-frame construction and related code requirements preferred.

  US work authorization.
