• Monday: 8:00am-5:00pm (Dyker Heights)
• Tuesday: 8:30am-5:00pm (Fresh Meadows)
• Wednesday: 8:30am-5:00pm (Fresh Meadows)
• Thursday: 8:00am-4:00pm (Dyker Heights)
• Friday: 8:00am-4:30pm (Dyker Heights)
• Saturday (1-2 per month): 8:00 - 12:00PM

All clinical office staff must fulfill the following medical document requirements before commencing employment:

• Proof of MMR vaccination (either vaccine record or titer)
• Verification of a negative TB Test conducted within the last 12 months. This can either be a 2-Step Mantoux TST skin test (PPD) or an IGRA blood test (QuantiFERON?-TB Gold Plus or T-SPOT?)
• Proof of Hepatitis B vaccination or completion of a Hepatitis B Declination Form

Job Summary:
Full-time Medical Assistant supporting ENTA's Fresh Meadows and Dyker Heights offices. Responsible for patient intake, room preparation, documentation, assisting physicians with examinations and procedures, and basic in-office testing. Must be bilingual in Spanish or Chinese and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment. Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred, with Epic EMR experience a plus.


Job Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients and handle phone inquiries
• Prepare patients for appointments and escort them to exam rooms
• Verify and document patient information, medical history, and reason for visit
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures
• Prepare specimens and perform basic in-office laboratory testing
• Maintain sterile instruments and properly dispose of contaminated supplies
• Provide medication and treatment instructions as directed
• Document examinations, treatments, and test results accurately
• Maintain medical supply inventory and equipment
• Follow HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements

Requirements:

• Bilingual Spanish or Chinese required
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Medical Assistant program completion or CMA/RMA certification preferred, candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Biology, EMT certification, or 5+ years of continuous Medical Assistant experience may also qualify
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Strong patient service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA), one of the nation's largest ENT, Allergy, and Audiology practices, is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our Fresh Meadows and Dyker Heights offices.

Hourly: $23/hr

Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients in person or by phone; respond to or route inquiries appropriately
• Prepare patients for appointments by directing or accompanying them to exam rooms
• Verify and record patient information, including medical history and reason for visit
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures
• Prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic in?office lab testing
• Maintain sterile instruments and properly dispose of contaminated supplies
• Educate patients on medications and provide instructions as directed
• Accurately document examinations, treatments, and test results
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure equipment is functioning properly
• Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• Ability to work effectively in a fast?paced environment
• Bilingual Spanish or Chinese required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Strong patient service skills with a commitment to delivering a positive patient experience

Education / Certification Requirements:
Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification such as CMA or RMA. Alternatively, candidates with any of the following qualifications will be considered:

• Bachelor's degree in Biology
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
• Five (5) years of continuous experience working as a Medical Assistant
