Staff Platform Engineer

To drive architectural decisions and integration standards, the full-time Staff Platform Engineer will serve as the primary technical authority on integrations, focusing on API design and integration architecture while working remotely. Key responsibilities Define integration patterns and API contracts used across product lines while evaluating build-vs-buy decisions for integration infrastructure Provide technical direction for scrum teams, resolving high-stakes technical problems and maintaining high standards in code and design reviews Contribute to the implementation of integration services and shared libraries, while developing tooling to enhance integration development efficiency Required qualifications 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on technical leadership across multiple teams or product areas Proven experience designing and building production-grade integration systems, including RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience Strong proficiency in at least one backend language used in integration contexts (Java, Python, C#, or similar) Experience deploying and operating integration workloads on cloud platforms, preferably AWS
