Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Facility in Farmville, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, history, and needs to develop personalized treatment plans that align with physician directives and patient goals.
• Implement therapy sessions utilizing various techniques and modalities designed to alleviate pain, improve function, and enhance mobility.
• Document evaluations and treatment protocols meticulously, ensuring clear communication of patient progress and therapeutic necessity to support billing and insurance requirements.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and other support personnel, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative team approach in patient care.
• Continuously assess and adjust treatment strategies based on patient responses and outcomes, collaborating closely with medical staff, including physicians and nurses, to optimize care.
• Participate in case discussions and interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing to the holistic treatment planning of patients.
• Ensure compliance with all facility protocols, safety measures, and healthcare regulations, while maintaining a clean and organized therapy environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population encompassing individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, sports injuries, and those experiencing chronic pain. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university.
• Active Physical Therapist license issued by the state of Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficient in the use of various therapeutic equipment and technology.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience in a clinical physical therapy setting is required, candidates with experience in rehabilitation facilities or specialized training in post-operative care will be given priority. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and previous mentorship roles will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
