Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed respiratory care to neonatal through adult patients, including ventilator management on Puritan Bennett 980/840 and LTV1200 devices
- Perform arterial blood gas sampling, interpretation, and adjust therapies per physician orders and unit protocol
- Document care in EPIC EMR; manage Pyxis-assisted medication administration as required
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams; respond to respiratory distress and assist with neonatal/pediatric resuscitation as needed
- Float to nursery and ER units as required; participate in unit scheduling and rotation to meet patient care needs
- Maintain equipment, ensure infection control compliance, and uphold all credentialing requirements (ACLS, BLS, NRP) and annual recertifications

Requirements
- Active Respiratory Therapist license for the state of New York
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP; NBRC verification required
- Minimum of 2 years of RT clinical experience; experience with neonatal/pediatric care and NRP required or demonstrated exposure
- EPIC EMR experience within the last 2 years is required
- Ability to work in a hospital setting on a 12-hour night shift; flexibility to cover every other weekend and to float to nursery and ER as needed
- License on file at time of submission; reliable transportation is required as public transit is not available in the area
