Overview Automotive Store Manager – Hiring Now. Must be a proven leader with a strong automotive background and a passion for driving results. This role leads shop operations, develops talent, and delivers an exceptional customer experience. Must thrive in a fast‑paced environment, understand shop metrics, and build a high‑performing team. Location: 4010 Dearborn Circle, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054 Compensation Starting base salary $76,307 to $111,164 annually. Pay adjusted based on experience, location, and other factors. Eligible for monthly incentive pay tied to store sales and overall performance. Sundays off each week plus one additional day off during the week, dependent on business need. Position Objective Drive sales attainment and profitability of the automotive facility by managing inventory, implementing pricing and promotional strategies, and optimizing the sales process. Develop technical and sales training programs to enhance team skills, product knowledge, and sales techniques, thereby improving customer satisfaction and loyalty. Major Job Functions Staff Management and Development Hire, schedule, and evaluate staff performance. Provide coaching and counsel to ensure quality development. Schedule seminars, training programs, and schooling for technicians and service writers. Customer Service and Relations Monitor quality of customer service performed by associates. Review repairs with customers, address questions, resolve problems, and authorize special member services. Respond efficiently to customer complaints. Operational Oversight Schedule repairs and maintenance, review facility efficiency, and implement changes. Prepare weekly and monthly operations reports for management. Maintain income and expense budgets and meet annual revenue and net income goals. Technical Assistance and Compliance Provide technical assistance to Car Care associates. Act as Health & Safety Officer, ensuring OSHA and local compliance. Stay current on EPA and environmental laws and advise the organization. Business Development and Community Engagement Develop external relationships and enhance ACA image in the community. Establish vendor partnerships and promote complete product range. Participate in local and national automotive organizations. Process Improvement and Performance Management Recommend process improvements to maintain competitiveness. Facilitate effective use of tools for compliance and KPI alignment. Lead the team to exceed Customer Satisfaction and Quality scores while meeting productivity goals. General Responsibilities Maintain awareness of car care products and AAA services to provide exceptional member experiences. Practice ACA Shared Values and perform related duties as required. Complete additional tasks as assigned. Job Requirements / Qualifications Associate’s degree or equivalent (education and experience may be considered). Minimum 6 years in the automotive industry. 3 years experience in leadership or supervisory role preferred. ASE “Master Automotive Technician” certification strongly preferred. Valid operator’s license with 5 years driving experience and excellent record. Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmissions on passenger vehicles and light/medium duty trucks. Must pass mandatory pre‑ and post‑employment screening. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Work autonomously managing a retail automotive services operation. Utilize automotive diagnostic equipment and provide technical guidance. Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and regional/corporate support departments. Advanced knowledge of PC‑based applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel) and automotive software. Strong organizational, analytical, written, and oral communication skills. Respond to customer inquiries and refer customers to appropriate associates. Read and interpret financial data and reports. Working Conditions Exposed to automotive shop environment; noise can be loud. Requires working with automotive tools, changes in temperature, dust, or fumes. Must lift up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods. Full‑time Associate is classified as a “Safety Sensitive” position. Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision plan options.
