Oak Essentials offers a meticulous edit of clean skincare, body care, and fragrance products designed to transform daily rituals into moments of elevated simplicity and luxury.The Sales Associate is a part-time, on-site team member supporting both retail and spa operations at Oak Essentials Malibu. This person helps maximize retail sales, supports the guest experience for spa visitors, and assists the Retail & Spa Lead with day-to-day floor and booking operations — ensuring every guest interaction reflects top-tier Oak Essentials brand representation. This is a hands-on, guest-facing role.Retail Sales & Client ExperienceMaximize sales and provide friendly, welcoming, guest-first customer serviceCommunicate effectively with customers to determine their needs and recommend productsBuild relationships with clients and maintain an updated client bookHandle all point-of-sale transactions including sales, exchanges, refunds, gift cards, and gift wrapEncourage guests to join the Oak Essentials community (email/SMS list) and engage with us on social mediaSpa & Guest Experience SupportSupport the spa booking and scheduling system, assisting with appointment coordination and treatment room turnoverServe as a welcoming on-site point of contact for spa guests, coordinating check-in and hand-off to licensed aestheticiansHelp maintain treatment rooms, retail floor, and guest areas to Oak Essentials cleanliness and presentation standardsAssist with guest intake and flag scheduling conflicts or service-related issues to the Retail & Spa LeadHelp deliver a seamless, elevated experience for every guest, including VIP or high-touch clienteleStore OperationsSupport daily opening/closing procedures and sales floor operations under the direction of the Retail & Spa LeadTake an active role in maintaining visual merchandising standards and product displaysAssist with inventory tracking, restock requests, stock transfers, and receiving new merchandiseEnsure POS and inventory accuracyParticipate in on-location events, activations, and launchesCommunication & Loss PreventionCommunicate effectively through sharing feedback with the Retail & Spa Lead and writing daily business recapsSecure company assets through loss prevention in compliance with company policies and guidelinesQualifications and RequirementsMinimum of 1–2 years of experience in retail sales; spa, clean beauty, or luxury/upper-contemporary background preferredCan-do, guest-first attitude with a commitment to providing excellent customer serviceExperience handling VIP or high-touch clientele a plusWillingness and availability to work during peak business periods — weekends, holidays, etc.Familiarity with spa booking software a plusDemonstrate strong written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge and experience with POS and inventory management systems, Microsoft Word and ExcelComfortable working in a team environmentMust be able to lift and move heavy objects (20 pounds or more) from time to time as requiredFlexibility to stretch to other duties as assigned and be a team playerAdditional NotesThis job description is not all inclusive.
