Quality Assurance Manager

Mackie Myers is partnering with a CPG Manufacturer that is looking for their next Quality Manager. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who will proactively improve the quality systems of the company through internal audits, participation in process improvement programs, and interaction with key partners to obtain constructive feedback.

Team

• 5 QA Finished Goods Inspectors, 2 Incoming Packaging Inspectors, 2 Document Control Personnel
• Role will oversee QA and Document Control functions
• Total team size: 9–12 direct reports

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the quality team (hands-on leadership)
• Own and continuously improve QMS, SOPs, batch records, and ERP processes
• Manage deviations, OOS, investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPAs
• Drive process improvement and Lean initiatives
• Build and scale quality systems in a growth environment
• Develop standardized production, quality, and customer-service standards
• Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventive action
• Perform internal and external quality audits and compile detailed reports of findings
• Build a strong team through coaching, mentoring, specific training and performance evaluations

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of Quality Management Experience within the CPG industry.
• ISO 22716 (Cosmetics, GMP); NSF / ANSI 455-4 (OTC, GMP)
• Preferred backgrounds: Cosmetics, OTC, Supplements, Food, or Pharma
• Strong, hands-on leader with demonstrated capability to build and develop teams
• Experience with QMS management, investigations, and SOP development
• Process-driven with strong ownership and focus on continuous improvement
• Experience in regulated environments, including FDA-regulated operations (cosmetics strongly preferred)

Nice to Have

• GEMBA, MRB, validation, stability programs, risk assessment, audit certifications

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: Up to $120K + bonus potential
