Kelma is the fastest managed WordPress hosting platform purpose-built for the Arabic web. From our base in Cairo, we serve agencies, freelancers, publishers and businesses across the MENA region with CDN-grade speed, hands-on human support, and tooling tuned for the realities of Arabic content — from RTL layout to regional latency. We are \"1st in the Middle East\" for a reason: <100ms TTFB, a 99/100 PageSpeed, and a support team made up of real WordPress engineers, not bots.

The role

We are hiring our first dedicated Social Media Manager to define and grow Kelma's voice across the platforms where WordPress users, agencies and developers in MENA actually spend time. You will be the bridge between our engineering team and the public — translating wins like edge caching hits in Cairo, Redis-backed object cache, and free unlimited migrations into stories that move people to start a trial.

You will own the calendar, the voice, and the metrics. You will not be handed a content library and a posting schedule — you will build them.

What you will do

• Build and run Kelma's content calendar across Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and (when relevant) TikTok and YouTube Shorts, in both English and Arabic.
• Turn engineering wins — TTFB improvements, new edge locations, faster Redis cache paths — into shippable posts, threads, carousels and short videos the same week they happen.
• Grow a community of WordPress professionals in MENA: agencies, freelancers, bloggers, WooCommerce store owners. Reply, engage, host spaces and AMAs.
• Write the kind of posts that get bookmarked: practical, regionally relevant WordPress tips, hosting explainers, performance teardowns, and case studies from real Kelma customers.
• Partner with the support and engineering teams to spot recurring customer questions and turn them into educational content.
• Track what matters: follower growth, engagement rate, click-through to the trial, and downstream trial-to-paid. Report monthly and iterate.
• Manage reputation — respond to reviews on Trustpilot, mentions across the web, and the occasional outage with clarity and care.
• Light paid social: small budget, sharp targeting, A/B-tested creative.

What success looks like in 6 months

• A recognisable Kelma voice on X and LinkedIn that engineers and agency owners in MENA follow voluntarily.
• A content engine that publishes 4–6 high-quality posts per week without heroics.
• A measurable lift in trial sign‑ups attributed to organic social.
• A pipeline of customer stories and case studies ready to amplify.

Marketing at Kelma has historically been product‑led and quiet. We have a hosting platform that wins on benchmarks, a support team that wins on reviews, and a brand that, frankly, more people in the region should know about. You will be the person who changes that.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years running social media for a tech, SaaS or hosting brand — you can show a calendar, a portfolio, and the numbers behind it.
• Native or fluent written Arabic, and excellent written English. You can switch tone between a thread on WordPress OPcache and a carousel about WooCommerce checkout speed without missing a beat.
• Deep familiarity with at least two of: Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok — including analytics, scheduling tools and native creative formats.
• Comfortable with technical content. You don't have to be an engineer, but you can read a release note, sit with an engineer for 30 minutes, and turn it into a post people actually read.
• Basic design sense — you can mock a carousel in Figma or Canva and ship it without a designer breathing down your neck.
• Self-directed. We are remote and small. You propose, you ship, you measure.
• Based in or overlapping meaningfully with MENA working hours (UTC+0 to UTC+3).

Nice to have

• You already run, or have run, a WordPress site, blog or community.
• Experience marketing to developers, agencies or freelancers (not just end‑consumers).
• Comfortable on camera for short‑form video.
• Familiar with SEO basics and how social feeds into search.
• You have written a long‑form blog post or newsletter that performed.
