If you find your skills match the qualifications we are seeking below, we invite you to apply for this position!**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*** Works closely with operators, Maintenance Supervisor, Shift Supervisors and other team members.* Follows established safety and environmental policies and procedures while promoting continuous improvement in workplace safety.* Dismantles, moves, installs, or repairs machinery and mechanical equipment.* Examines machinery or mechanical equipment; identifies reasons for malfunction and completes repairs and/or maintenance.* Uses hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments to repair and maintain production equipment and ancillary equipment.* Cleans plant facilities, equipment, and work areas as required.* Assist with installing new equipment and systems. Repairs and maintains current equipment and systems as needed.* Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.* Follows established safety and environmental policies and procedures and promotes continuous improvement of safety and environmental performance in the workplace.* Performs special program tasks, such as annual and semi-annual PMP's.* Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.* Responsible for reporting any Food Safety issues to authorized personnel for correction.**QUALIFICATIONS*** Ability to work independently in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner* Ability to interpret technical manuals.* Ability to perform preventive maintenance according to published guidelines.* Ability to repair, dismantle, install or move machinery and mechanical equipment.* Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.* Knowledge of maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and systems.* Ability to test systems and/or operations in compliance with published standards.* Ability to accurately use rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other related measuring tools.* Knowledge of inspecting and cleaning utility plant equipment.* Ability to work in elevated locations (elevator legs)* Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.**WORKING CONDITIONS*** Work involves regular exposure to unusual elements, such as temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.* Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous situations that require following extensive safety precautions and will include the use of protective equipment.
