Physical Therapist (PT) - General

Physical Therapist Healthcare

Schedule: 8-hour shifts.

Assignment Details: Contract length: 14 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 32 hours/week.

Requirements:

• Current State License as a Physical Therapist - Required
• Proof of current CPR certification - Required
• Current driver's license with reliable transportation and insurance - Required
• 1-2 years experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting - Required
• Previous home care experience - Preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association approved program - Required

Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical assessments to identify patient needs and appropriateness of care.
• Document, prepare and review clinical records and Plans of Care (POC).
• Plan and provide treatment for neuromuscular, neurological, and orthopedic disorders.
• Instruct patients and families on transfer techniques and the use of assistive devices.
• Provide patient and family education based on age, condition, culture, and learning readiness.
• Apply infection control and universal precautions in patient care activities.
