Why Drive for Lew Thompson & Son?

Lew Thompson & Son Trucking was started over 40 years ago by a truck driver, for truck drivers - and that mindset still shapes the way the company runs today. As a family-owned carrier specializing in local live and feed haul transportation, Lew Thompson & Son keeps drivers close to home, well-equipped, and treated like professionals.

If you're looking for a local driving job with regular miles, predictable time at home, and a company that actually listens, Lew Thompson & Son is worth a serious look. Speak with a recruiter today.

Local Dedicated Driver Overview

Home every night. Run local routes within a 150-mile air radius and get home daily - no long stretches away from family.
Pay that's worth the drive. Drivers average $1,200-$1,700 per week,* with top earners reaching up to $88,000+ per year* based on route, experience, and performance.
Specialized freight, professional pay. Haul dedicated local live and feed loads with a company that knows this freight inside and out - and pays accordingly.
Modern trucks for local runs. Drive late-model Peterbilt equipment built to keep your routes running smoothly day after day.

Benefits & Perks

Coverage that backs you up. Medical, dental, vision, HSA, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, accident and critical illness coverage, and a dependent care flexible spending account.
Support that stays with you. 24/7 dispatch and on-call service keep you covered no matter when you're on the road.
Paid to get started. Paid orientation and training help you get rolling with confidence from day one.
Perks that add up. Access to an online company store and a genuinely family-oriented culture that sticks with you.

All pay and bonus amounts may vary by job type, location, experience level, and performance and are subject to change based on company discretion. Talk with a recruiter to confirm specific details.

There is no deadline to apply. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
