RN - Registered Nurse - Local Traveler

Job Summary Sanford Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide individualized nursing care to residents at Good Samaritan. The RN will work varied 8‑hour shifts and support multiple locations within a 150‑mile radius of a permanent address. Schedule & Work Hours Work Shift: 8 Hours – Varied Shifts (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 0 (variable based on shift assignment) Minimum of 30 hours per month One weekend shift per month required Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $24.00 – $36.00 per hour Premium Pay Rates: $5.00 per hour premium on all hours worked $1.25 per hour weekend shift differential $1.25 per hour evening/night shift differential (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) Mileage reimbursement provided for required travel within a 150‑mile radius of permanent address Union Position: No Travel required to support multiple locations within 150‑mile radius of permanent address Responsibilities Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. Collaborate with residents and families, and inter‑disciplinary colleagues—including providers—to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Demonstrate competence and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilize appropriate age and population‑specific standards. Provide care in all phases of preventive care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Coordinate care, conduct resident assessment, provide resident education, and perform various nursing interventions. Serve as charge nurse when required and delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within their competencies and the degree of care needed. Provide adequate assistance and support to delegates to ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolution of care and service concerns. Operate within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure. Qualifications Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (preferred, including CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred. Minimum of 18 years of age. Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possesses multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtain and maintain required department‑specific competencies and certifications. Experience Requirements: 3 months experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred).
