Veterinarian

We're seeking a confident clinician with extensive experience in small animal medicine and surgery. Experience in orthopedic surgery and dermatology is highly preferred, also seeking an experienced veterinarian who enjoys practicing high-quality medicine, performing advanced surgical procedures, mentoring veterinary staff, and helping shape the future of a growing hospital. As the Veterinarian of Record (Responsible DVM), you will provide clinical leadership while supporting the clinic's long-term vision of expanding into an inpatient veterinary facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Responsible Veterinarian (Veterinarian of Record) for the practice.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Diagnose and treat medical conditions affecting companion animals.
• Perform routine and advanced soft tissue surgical procedures independently.
• Perform dental procedures and oral surgeries.
• Manage anesthesia, pain control, and post-operative care.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited veterinary school.
• Active Florida Veterinary License, or ability to obtain before start date.
• DEA Registration, or eligibility to obtain.
• Minimum 7 years of clinical veterinary experience.
• Extensive experience performing small animal surgery independently.
• Experience with dental procedures and oral surgery.
• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
