The Welder Apprentice will assist experienced welders with various tasks such as cutting, grinding, welding and fitting metal parts. This position requires a willingness to perform physical labor and learn from a team of experienced professionals.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:Assist with preparing materials, equipment, and work areas for welding and fabrication, including cutting, grinding, and fitting metal componentsPerform basic welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and stick processes under supervisionRead blueprints, take measurements, align and clamp parts, and support layout and fit-up activitiesInspect welds and components, perform dimensional checks, and ensure work meets specifications and tolerancesMaintain and clean welding tools and equipment, and support general shop organizationAssist with fabrication and production tasks such as sawing, rolling, bending, assembly, painting, and sandblastingFollow all safety standards and participate in required training and safety meetingsCollaborate with welders, engineers, and team members to meet production goals and resolve issuesCommunicate effectively to clarify instructions and support workflow efficiencySupport fixture/tooling setup and adapt to other departments as needed to meet production demandsWork overtime as required and perform additional duties as assignedPosition Qualifications:Education:High School Diploma or equivalent.Experience (yrs): Previous welding experience and experience operating forklift preferredOther:Ability to perform work in a manufacturing environment, including tasks that may require lifting up to 50 pounds, with attention to safety, detail, and coordinationAbility to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to support teamwork, understand instructions, and maintain a safe work environmentBasic working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar software toolsDemonstrates a commitment to safety, teamwork, reliability, and continuous learning; shows flexibility and a willingness to develop new skillsAbility to safely use or learn to operate welding equipment and electric/pneumatic power toolsAbility to safely handle and work with steel components and materials in an industrial settingWillingness and ability to safely operate or learn material handling equipment, such as forklifts and overhead cranes, in accordance with company trainingConsistently follows safety procedures and properly uses required personal protective equipment (PPE)Monday through Friday – 6:15 am – 2:45 pm. 30-minute lunch break.Aerzen USA Corp., inclusive of its subsidiaries (further "Aerzen") is an equal opportunity employer and selects employees based on skills and experience.
