Technical Assistant

The Technical Assistant provides front-line support to prospective, current, and former students regarding records, registration, transfer credit evaluations, and diploma services. The position serves as a primary point of contact for routine inquiries, explains procedures and requirements, assists students in navigating institutional processes, and refers complex issues to appropriate staff. This is a part-time hourly position.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to general student inquiries related to transcripts, registration, and academic records.
• Provide information on transfer credit evaluation processes, timelines, statuses, and next steps.
• Assist students with diploma pickup and other graduation-related inquiries.
• Deliver customer service through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Utilize student information systems to research and respond to questions.
• Refer complex or policy-related issues to designated Registrar's Office staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and adhere to institutional policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Transcript evaluation knowledge preferred
• Customer service or administrative experience
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn and explain institutional policies and procedures.
• Experience with student information system is required; preferably Ellucian's Colleague
• Ability to multi-task and work flexible hours
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling highly sensitive information.

Compensation: The hourly pay for this position is $20.
