Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Pre/Post & PACU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8-Hour Shifts (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with staggered start times beginning at 6:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in Pre-Op, Post-Op, and/or PACU settings within an outpatient surgery environment at an acute care facility
• Adapt to variable daily assignments across Pre/Post and PACU areas, with staggered start times ranging from 6:00 AM to 8:30 AM depending on area of assignment
• Complete full shift in PACU as required; shift relief is not available in the outpatient surgery setting
• Float to sister facilities nearby the contracted location as needed
• Maintain compliance with all facility policies, scheduling commitments, and holiday requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of California; compact license must be in hand at time of submission (pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in Operating Room, Pre/Post, or PACU specialty
• Willingness to commit to a flexible schedule, including staggered start times
• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted (maximum 7 days RTO)
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are encouraged to apply
• Experience working in an outpatient or ambulatory surgery setting
• Comfort with floating between multiple care areas within a facility system
