Lead Software Development Engineer

Job Summary Lead Software Development Engineer provides technical and consultative support on highly complex technology initiatives. This role designs, develops, and supports cloud‑native applications, APIs, event‑driven systems, and enterprise integration platforms. The individual serves as a senior technical contributor, evaluating and implementing technology solutions that are scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with enterprise standards. Responsibilities Analyze, design, develop, and support enterprise applications and platform services. Evaluate architectural approaches and recommend appropriate technologies based on business requirements, cost, scalability, reliability, and operational supportability. Develop cloud‑native solutions using APIs, event‑driven patterns, and distributed system principles. Provide technical leadership and guidance during design reviews and implementation activities. Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root cause analysis and remediation. Maintain knowledge of industry trends, cloud technologies, and enterprise integration patterns. Mentor less experienced engineers and serve as technical lead, leading by example on projects. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree. 7+ years of software engineering, platform engineering, or cloud engineering experience. Experience developing enterprise applications using Java and/or Python. Experience designing and supporting distributed systems and APIs. Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud‑native architecture and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Strong understanding of API, messaging, event‑driven, and microservices architectures. Experience evaluating technology tradeoffs and selecting appropriate solutions for business and technical requirements. Experience with Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Apigee, and CI/CD practices. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams. Technical Skills Python, Java, SQL GCP Pub/Sub Spring Boot, REST APIs Dataflow, BigQuery CI/CD and Automation Observability and Monitoring Compensation Annual range: $70,000.00 – $140,000.00 USD. Actual compensation varies by location, experience, and education. Eligible for incentive compensation plans.
