Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Rotating Shifts (7:00–17:30 and 9:30–20:00) | Shifts rotate on a weekly basis to maintain consistency — shift blocks are grouped within the same week rather than alternating day to day | On-call required: one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per month and one weekday call shift per week; call requirements may vary based on staffing needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Electrophysiology (EP) setting at a 1:1 patient ratio
• Assist with cardiac catheterization and EP procedures, remaining on-site until procedures are complete
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage including weekday and weekend call shifts as required
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Wear a radiation badge at all times during applicable procedures — badge must be supplied by the staffing agency prior to start
• Be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab and/or EP nursing experience required
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start date
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Radiation badge required — must be provided by the staffing agency; the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates (within 60 miles) may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health records charting system
• Familiarity with rotating shift structures in a procedural or interventional environment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
