Business Value Consultant, Financial Services

At Databricks, our Business Value Consultants are trusted advisors who connect our cutting-edge data and AI solutions to measurable business outcomes. As a key member of our global Value Acceleration team focusing on Financial Services in the Americas, you'll partner with sales teams to articulate and quantify the transformative impact of Databricks' solutions. This role is located in the US (Northeast Preferred) and reports to the Global Leader of Value Acceleration. The impact you will have: Drive significant financial impact across Financial Services sector customers in the Americas Identify root causes of challenges in our value selling process and implement scalable solutions Work with Leadership ensuring that sales‑led customer engagements are centered around value creation and measurement Be instrumental in pursuits of key accounts, building win narratives and account strategy Help win sales opportunities, directly engaging with sales teams and customers to build the business case and document the impact realized from using Databricks Teach the tenets of Business Value Consulting to field Sales and Customer Success teams Work with Marketing to promote the measurable impact of Databricks inside and outside our company through presentations, blogs, webinars, and whitepapers Build reusable financial benefit analysis models for BVC practitioners and field teams Partner with GTM leaders to advance industry and broader go‑to‑market objectives Leverage Databricks' unique differentiators to address customer challenges and accelerate growth What make this role unique: Access to industry‑leading experts and thought leaders Autonomy to select problems that align with your passion and critical business needs Opportunity to drive meaningful change across the organization Clear path for career progression based on impact Work with a team that has a reputation for driving meaningful change throughout Databricks What we look for: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required, MBA a plus 9+ years experience as part of an enterprise software sales or consulting team or working in IT 5+ years experience as a Business Value Consultant Experience applying data‑driven problem solving to business challenges Strong understanding of data challenges faced by individual contributors and leaders in FINS. Ability to quickly become conversant in Databricks' differentiators (within 6 months) Experience with how big data, analytics, ML and AI support the business Consultative approach working externally with customers and internally as well Outstanding communication and presentation skills; articulate and professional Excellent business case creation and analysis skills Financial and business acumen A truth‑seeking problem solver Industry domain expertise in Financial Services Experience expanding existing customer relationships Winning as part of a team Travel requirements: Travel within the US depending on customer need, frequency varies. Pay Range Transparency Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected base salary range for non‑commissionable roles or on‑target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job‑related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipated utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
