Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to provide exceptional care for obstetric patients. This role involves supporting high-risk pregnancies, assisting with deliveries, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout labor and postpartum recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor laboring patients, including performing vaginal exams and fetal assessments.
• Circulate during C-Section procedures, ensuring sterile protocols and assisting surgical teams.
• Manage postpartum recovery, including initial newborn care such as breastfeeding and latch.
• Respond to obstetrical emergencies like hemorrhage and high-risk complications with critical thinking.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on childbirth processes, postpartum care, and newborn health.

Qualifications:

• Valid CA Registered Nurse License required.
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience, including fetal monitoring.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP required.
• Proven ability to perform vaginal exams and circulator duties for C-sections.
• Strong critical thinking and patient care skills.
• Experience caring for high-risk antepartum patients (e.g., gestational hypertension, diabetes).
