Med Ninjas is seeking a Medical Director – Geriatric Medicine for long term coverage at a outpatient facility located in Fayetteville, NC
\n This assignment includes outpatient clinic, onsite healthcare coverage, geriatric medicine, chronic disease management, and on call rotation.

Permanent Medical Director – Geriatric Medicine
Shift: Day shifts, Monday through Friday. Full time.
Position Details: Medical Director providing general medical direction and supervision of the medical aspects of participant care, clinical outcomes, Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) oversight, and development and maintenance of medical policies, procedures, standards and protocols.
Patient Population: Adults age 55 and older with chronic care needs and frail or elderly participants requiring nursing home-level care while living safely in the community.
Setting: Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), including center-based and in-home care.
Responsibilities: Conduct history and physicals, event-based and periodic reassessments; develop medical treatment plans; evaluate PACE applicants; participate in intake and assessment decisions; educate participants, families and the interdisciplinary team; supervise participant healthcare and treatment programs; collaborate with nursing; participate in team and family conferences; provide medical direction and supervision to PCPs and APPs; oversee QAPI; perform physical examinations; order and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests; participate in provider on-call rotation.
Required Procedures: Physical examinations, physical assessment, chronic disease management, ordering and evaluation of laboratory and diagnostic tests.
EMR System: -
Support Staff: Primary Care Providers, Advanced Practice Providers, nursing staff, interdisciplinary team and administrative leadership.
Days Per Month: Monday through Friday, full time.
On-Call/Weekends: Participates in provider on-call rotation as required; weekend requirements not specified.

• Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice

• Board Certification in Geriatrics

• Experience or added qualifications in geriatrics

• Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail or elderly population
\n
• Effective skills in physical assessment and chronic disease management for frail older adults –
\n
• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report within 30 days
\n
