Gentiva Hospice - Jackson, MI
Looking to volunteer? We have a great opportunity for anyone over the age of 18. We have volunteers that are 18-85 years old. Anyone can do it!
Volunteers are able to visit with patients on a friendly level. There is no hands on care. You are there for their enjoyment.
Visits may include conversations, putting puzzles together, watch TV, activities, card games, crafts, doing whatever the patient is interested in.
Patient may live in their own home or in a facility.
There are some requirementes to be a volunteer to satisfy Medicare, nursing homes, assisted living and hospice protocol. These include: background check, finger printing, and drug screening (minus marijuana).
