General Surgery Opportunities (3) in Tucson, AZ. Medical Center in Tucson, AZ is seeking (3) BE/BC General Surgeons to join the staff of a large multi-specity group affiliated with the hospital. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years+ experience. However, new grads are welcome to apply. Special interests/skill sets include trauma and minimally invasive surgery. Current call coverage ratio is 5 to 6 days per month by all private practice physicians. Office space is readily available in close proximity to the hospital. The facility provides anesthesia coverage for all elective and add‑on‑cases or emergent cases 24/7. 12 ORs with boom systems and approx 400 square feet each. The hospital recently broke ground on a $46 million dollar surgery expansion that will take them from 12 ORs to 16 and increase the square footage of each room to 550 sq. ft. The ORs are filmless (PACS) and fully digital. All ORs are staffed with seasoned OR professionals. Current OR scheduling with only one form needed to schedule patients. Medical Center is a 300‑bed facility in Tucson offering a full range of inpatient and outpatient services including cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, orthopedics, minimally invasive surgery (including 2 DaVinci surgical robots), neurology, neurosurgery, GI, a free‑standing Women’s Center, Wound Care Center. MC is designated with Center of Excellence status for its Chest Pain Center, Stroke Center, Total Knee and Total Hip Replacement, Spine Surgery, Bariatric Program and Breast Imaging Center.
