Future Salary Increases ** June 2026 - 4.49% increase to base pay (3% Across-the-Board + 1.49% Market Adjustment) ** June 2027 - 4.49% increase to base pay (3% Across-the- Board + 1.49% Market Adjustment) The Program Coordinator is a professional management level classification that provides administrative, analytical, planning, and management support for programs and projects where substantive administrative, policy and/or technical issues require specialized analysis, recommendation, and implementation. The current vacancies are in the Public Health Services (PHS) Department, HIV, STD, and Hepatitis Branch (HSHB) and PHS Administration; however, the list established from this recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies in other departments.
HIV, STD, and Hepatitis Branch (HSHB) The ideal candidate for HSHB has experience in public health program administration and prior supervisory experience including establishing work unit goals and objectives and supervising and monitoring the work performance of staff; experience with project management, strategic planning, grant management, and program evaluation; has strong political acumen and ability to work with internal and external partners; and has experience establishing processes and procedures for workflow and providing technical/subject matter expertise. A master's degree in public health is desirable. Public Health Services Administration The ideal candidate for the PHS Administration position will serve as the Workforce Director for the PHS department and will ensure PHS has a competent workforce that understands the basic public health principles that meet the Public Health Accreditation Board standards. The ideal candidate has experience in workforce development; experience in public health program administration and prior supervisory experience including establishing work unit goals and objectives and supervising and monitoring the work performance of staff; experience with project management, strategic planning, grant management, and program evaluation; has strong political acumen and ability to work with internal and external partners; and has experience establishing processes and procedures for workflow and providing technical/subject matter expertise. A master's degree in public health is desirable.
