Associate Manager

Associate ManagerExpress is seeking an Associate Manager to join our team. The Associate Manager supports the store manager in managing store operations, recruiting, management, training and sales functions, drives productivity, compliance with company policies, and creates a great in-store shopping experience for our retail customers.Key responsibilities include attracting, hiring, developing, inspiring, and retaining top talent; supporting an environment which encourages an exceptionally high level of the store morale; focusing all store associates on creating an environment built on teamwork and inspiring a "one team" mentality; coaching, teaching, training, recognizing and managing all aspects of performance and development for all store associates up to and including Sales Leaders, to encourage professional growth and build a bench of talent; identifying high performing store associates and assisting in their growth; developing and maximizing the success of store associates to achieve sales potential and customer experience; attracting and hiring store associates, up to and including Sales Leaders; analyzing the business and executing/communicating clear action plans that optimize results; managing all aspects of daily store operations; ensuring all store associates have clarity on goals and action plans; providing feedback to help support the creation of clear action plans that optimize results; managing and delegating workload and ensuring execution of plans and strategies across the store; maintaining adherence to Company Policies and ensuring the safety of store associates and Customers; managing merchandise flow, such as shipment, replenishment, and omni-channel operations, throughout the store; optimizing sales/operations opportunity, by leading the associates consistently executes merchandising strategies, operations, loyalty programs and other company initiatives; with approval of the Store Manager, building an effective schedule with the right associate in the right place at the right time; supporting and developing a store environment focused on consistently delivering a great in-store customer experience; resolving customer complaints to a positive outcome; leading consistent focus on delivering a great customer experience; creating a culture of proactive customer engagement to exceed our customer's expectations; driving loyalty and credit card acquisition through an engaged store team; creating positive in-store experience through visual standards; and other essential functions may occur as directed by your supervisor.Required experience and qualifications include education: high school or equivalent; years of experience: 3-5 of relevant job experience; proficient in use of technology (iPad, registers); meets defined availability criteria, including nights, weekends and non-business hours; and meets physical requirements.Critical skills and attributes include previous retail experience preferred; proven ability to drive sales results; strong supervisory, communication and customer service skills; minimum of two years relevant experience; and prior sales management experience.Benefits and compensation include medical, pharmacy, dental and vision coverage; 401(k) and Roth 401(k) with Company match; merchandise discount; paid time off; and parental leave for new moms and dads.
