Assignment Overview

This locum opportunity is for an experienced Cardiothoracic / Vascular Surgeon to provide call coverage at a full-service acute care hospital. The practice focuses exclusively on adult patients in an inpatient hospital setting with strong clinical support.

Schedule / Coverage Dates

• March: 7:00 AM 03/13/2026 – 7:00 AM 03/23/2026

• April: 7:00 AM 04/03/2026 – 7:00 AM 04/13/2026

• April: 7:00 AM 04/27/2026 – 7:00 AM 05/04/2026

• May: 7:00 AM 05/15/2026 – 7:00 AM 05/25/2026

Must be available to cover listed dates

Practice & Facility Details

• Full-service acute care hospital

• Adult patient population (100%)

• Hospital-based practice (100%)

• Physicians on staff: 1

• Mid-level providers: 2

• Total beds: 250

• ICU beds: 60

• Onsite lab and X-ray

• EMR System: EPIC

Required Clinical Scope

The provider must be comfortable performing and managing the following:

• General Cardiothoracic, Thoracic & Vascular surgeries

• Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)

• Congenital cardiac defects

• Valvular repair and replacement

• Aneurysm repair

• Lung resection (including VATS)

• Chest wall and pleural procedures

• Esophageal and diaphragm surgeries

• Endarterectomy (carotid and renal)

• Ventilation management

• Bronchoscopy

• Evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues
