About the Position

Job Title: Shock Trauma Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: 2 years required; will accept first-time traveler with strong experience License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS required; CNOR preferred Must-Have: Circulating and scrub experience Description: The Shock Trauma Operating Room Registered Nurse will work rotating day shifts. The shifts include a combination of 2x8 and 2x12 hour shifts. Weekend and on-call commitments are required. Experience in circulating and scrubbing is mandatory for this department. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience. Clinical expertise in trauma and emergency procedures is essential. The role involves providing care to patients who require surgical intervention. Registered Nurses in this position will float within the specialty and peri-operatively, including pre-op and PACU as needed. On-call responsibilities include 36 hours of pre-scheduled coverage over a six-week cycle. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Travel experience may be beneficial. Candidates should be prepared to participate in required training and compliance activities. Flexibility and adaptability to the surgical schedule and patient needs are crucial. The role includes working with various patient demographics, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
