Database Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Database Engineer to join their team. As a Database Engineer, you will be part of the Data Management Department supporting the Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset.

Locations

Seattle, WA or Addison, TX (Hybrid-3 days onsite per week) Only W2 !!

What's the Job?

• Maintain and optimize Oracle databases to ensure high performance and reliability
• Troubleshoot and tune SQL performance issues efficiently
• Develop and support NoSQL databases, particularly Cassandra and DataStax tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions
• Lead efforts in data transformation, data quality controls, and workload management

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience with Oracle database management
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and tuning SQL performance issues
• Experience with Cassandra, CQL, and DataStax tools
• Knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate replication technology
• Strong understanding of core Cassandra concepts and troubleshooting skills
