Database Engineer
Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Database Engineer to join their team. As a Database Engineer, you will be part of the Data Management Department supporting the Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
Locations
Seattle, WA or Addison, TX (Hybrid-3 days onsite per week) Only W2 !!
What's the Job?
- Maintain and optimize Oracle databases to ensure high performance and reliability
- Troubleshoot and tune SQL performance issues efficiently
- Develop and support NoSQL databases, particularly Cassandra and DataStax tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions
- Lead efforts in data transformation, data quality controls, and workload management
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience with Oracle database management
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and tuning SQL performance issues
- Experience with Cassandra, CQL, and DataStax tools
- Knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate replication technology
- Strong understanding of core Cassandra concepts and troubleshooting skills
