- # Machine OperatorApply: On Site: Ottawa, Ohio: Full time: Posted Today: R8141* Work and maintain a safe environment.* Assist with machine and downstream changeovers as needed.* Restart equipment during normal production runs for non-mechanical related issues.* Maintain records for Quality, OEE and process improvements.* Measure parts in accordance with the control plans and react accordingly to maintain good quality product.* Assist with the trouble shooting of issues during startup and production runs.* Work with Quality department, process technicians and maintenance and cross train.* Promote safety and work safely throughout the facility following all Safety Policies.* Wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and required GMP gear.* Be aware of all Emergency Exits and know procedures for Emergency Evacuation.* Know the location of the **SDS** Safety Data Sheets and how to utilize properly.* Know not to operate any equipment or perform any work without the proper training and authorization to complete the task safely.* Always follow proper LOTO lock out/tag out procedures.* Never remove or bypass machine guards and NEVER while the machine is in operation.* Be cautious and aware of lift trucks and moving equipment.* Report all injuries or accidents to the Department Lead or Manager immediately.* Understand and follow plants housekeeping guidelines.* Identify and implement lean and continuous improvement actions.* All other duties as assigned.* Member of the HACCP team upon request.* Evaluates and takes appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment with established standards and guidelines.* Inspect work areas and look for unsafe acts/conditions.* Effectively use verbal and written communications.* Evaluates and takes appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment with established standards and guidelines.* Inspect work areas and look for unsafe acts/conditions.* Maintain a clean and safe working environment.* Perform sweeping, cleaning, sorting duties as necessary.* Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.**EDUCATION:****Preferred**: High School diploma or GED equivalent**EXPERIENCE:****Required:** Injection and Blow Molding**SKILLS:****Required:*** Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds continuously throughout the shift.* Work involves continuous lifting, bending, reaching and twisting.**SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (if applicable):** This position requires the cognitive and mental ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
