Janitor

Job Summary A successful campus Janitor is responsible for the cleanliness, upkeep, and presentation of the campus facilities. The successful candidate will effectively maintain the facility, help to create a positive environment, and have a strong customer service focus, both for students and staff. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain all janitorial needs Cleaning Restocking of supplies Manage supply use and identify the need for/submit orders as required Take on or assist with projects as needed at the direction of the Executive Director Communicate effectively in both oral and written form Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships Perform preventative maintenance Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Experience and Education Required Working knowledge of the janitorial trade Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of the job, including heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. Experience And Education Preferred High School Diploma or GED 5 years of varied janitorial experience Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
