Full Time Seasonal Utility Associate - Cole Hardware (Cole Valley location)

FULL TIME SEASONAL UTILITY/SALES ASSOCIATE

Do you possess vast knowledge of hardware-related products, home & garden, plumbing, electrical, paint, construction, tools, power tools, and or other related areas along with a willingness to learn? Join our team!

The primary responsibilities of the Seasonal Utility Associate position are to maintain outstanding customer service, generate sales, merchandise products, especially holiday merchandise, and support the store management team. At Cole Hardware you are responsible for creating positive Dinnertime Conversations with every interaction you have. Your job demands that you always operate professionally, with enthusiasm & a smile, and have goodwill towards our customers and your coworkers. You must be a self-starter; an independent individual. The Seasonal Utility Associate will also help with seasonal holiday, housewares and home goods departments and restocking efforts; a creative eye a plus!

Responsibilities:

-Ensure customers receive outstanding service with every interaction

-Generate sales and help maintain departments

-Be positive and friendly at all times to your coworkers and especially to our customers

-Have a commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction

-Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store management

-Stock merchandise and help the team to keep the receiving and back stock areas clean and organized

-Uphold merchandising, inventory, and store cleanliness standards and procedures

-Maintain well-stocked, well-organized departments, and back-stock areas

-Be responsive of safety issues & be conscious of shoplifting activity

-Assist with seasonal tree sales and handling

-Cashiering

-Other duties may be assigned

Requirements/Qualifications - What we're looking for:

• Retail experience preferred (especially in hardware, paint, tools, electrical and plumbing)
• A professional, team-oriented attitude
• Ability to stand, lift, and move stock as needed
• Experience in creative and enticing seasonal merchandising
• Weekend and evening availability

Physical Demands: Standing, walking, lifting (up to 40lbs), and climbing (ladders, stairs, etc.).

Wage Starting at $20.00 per hour
