Social Media Content Creator
Rare Genomics Institute
Help make a difference for those living with rare diseases by volunteering with the Rare Genomics Institute (RG). Our non-profit organization is committed to advocating for rare disease patients by connecting them with next-generation sequencing, digital health researchers, cutting-edge medical devices, and knowledge-sharing resources.
We’re seeking a remote Social Media Content Creator to support the marketing team in the creation of brand-aligned content across major platforms. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of basic design tools and principles paired with a foundational understanding of major social media channels. This is a design-focused role with no backend, analytic, or calendar management expectations.
Responsibilities
- Create and deliver brand-aligned social media content including Reels, carousels, and posts.
- Assist with simple copywriting tasks for blogs, newsletters, and post captions.
- Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings—Tuesdays at 9PM EST via Google Meet.
Qualifications
- 0-2 years experience in a social media or design-based role preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of basic content design tools and principles—Canva Pro, CapCut, Edits.
- Basic understanding of leading social media platforms—Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok
