TravelNurseSource is working with Conflux Systems Inc to find a qualified Ambulatory Care RN in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, 81601!

Description The Registered Nurse (RN) in an Infusion Clinic provides specialized nursing care to patients receiving intravenous (IV) therapies, including medications, hydration, blood products, biologics, chemotherapy (where applicable), and other infusion treatments. The RN is responsible for patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring for adverse reactions, patient education, and ensuring safe, high-quality care in an outpatient clinical setting.   Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients before, during, and after infusion treatments.
• Review medical histories, laboratory results, physician orders, and treatment plans.
• Start, maintain, and discontinue peripheral IV lines and access central venous devices as authorized.
• Administer IV medications, biologic therapies, hydration, blood products, and other infusion treatments according to established protocols.
• Monitor patients for infusion-related reactions, side effects, and complications.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and adverse events.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, medication administration, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans, medication effects, self-care instructions, and follow-up requirements.

• Current Colorado RN license, in good standing.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Most have minimum of 3 year RN Infusion experience.
• Required Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy/Bio-therapy certification.
