You are responsible for building strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, negotiating coverage, and managing proposals and renewals. You will also engage in strategic planning for clients, understanding the full scope of their business.Our future colleague: We'd love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:5+ years previous insurance experience in applicable insurance products/lines, various funding mechanisms and Employee Benefit techniquesNegotiating contracts, leading renewal meetings and presenting at open enrollment meetingsBeing a self-starter; a highly organized problem solver with good time management skills to meet deadlinesCreating detailed analyses and presentations for prospect or client meetingsReviewing the accuracy of others' work on a project or taskStrong proficiency with Excel Spreadsheets, Word Documents, PowerPoint and navigating in Agency Management SystemsStrong financial acumen and ability to interpret complex self-funded policiesGuiding others on a fast paced, high-energy team while maintaining a positive attitudeThese additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:Life & Health license preferred, or the ability to obtain upon hireBS/BA in Business, Insurance or related fieldGBA, CEBS, VBS or other professional insurance designation related to BenefitsExperience working with Applied Epic, agency management systemAvailable to travel for client meetings, as neededWe know there are excellent candidates who might not check all these boxes. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
