Nynorsk Linguist

Role Overview

Apply your Nynorsk language expertise to strengthen content quality, support content production, and shape clear, effective communication across remote projects. You will help improve AI systems through high-quality language data, evaluations, and feedback.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, edit, and proofread Nynorsk content for linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, consistency, and alignment with brand guidelines.
• Work with interdisciplinary remote teams to deliver written and verbal communication in Nynorsk.
• Create and maintain Nynorsk language standards, glossaries, and style guides.
• Advise on translation, localization, and transcreation into Nynorsk.
• Provide constructive feedback to writers and translators to improve language quality.
• Track linguistic trends and innovations to keep content relevant and engaging for Nynorsk-speaking audiences.
• Contribute to training sessions and workshops on Nynorsk communication best practices.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native Nynorsk proficiency, with exceptional written and spoken communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience editing, proofreading, or translating Nynorsk content across multiple domains.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, problem-solving ability, and commitment to linguistic quality.
• Ability to adapt tone and style for different formats, platforms, and audiences.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience building relationships within multicultural remote teams.
• Proactive, self-directed working style and proficiency with digital content-creation and editing tools.
• A degree in Linguistics, Language Studies, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with language technology, including CAT tools or localization platforms, is preferred.
• Training or mentoring experience with language professionals is preferred.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement.
• Full-time or part-time arrangements are available.

Compensation

• $10 to $40 per hour.
