QUALIFICATIONS
- BHT Certification
- Must have a current Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card,
- Current CPR and Mental Health 1st Aid certificate
- 2 years or more of BHT experience in a psychiatric, mental or crisis intervention facility
DUTIES
- Behavioral health assessments
- Counseling services
- Group Facilitation
- Attend clinical oversight by a BHP
- Write progress notes
- Complete incident reports as needed
- Emergency safety response
- Document patient encounters in EHR
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- BHT certified
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in individual or group therapy sessions
- Must have experience working in an IOP clinic setting or similar
- Knowledge of Crisis Intervention and ability to de-escalate potentially aggressive situations
- Provider education to patients regarding Behavioral health diagnosis, medications and treatments
- Demonstrates ability to effectively use therapeutic option theory and technique and can describe and demonstrate their roles and responsibilities
- Must have patience and good communication skills
- Embracing and respecting culture diversity
- Recognize the rights of patients and their families
