We are growing our workforce to develop and deploy our Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR) small modular nuclear plant to provide cost-competitive, clean firm heat and power to industry.The Company is building a team of high-performing business professionals and leaders in engineering, R&D, product management and business development areas at our Charlotte, North Carolina headquarters and future project sites. We are looking for talented individuals who can help build the organization, processes, and goal-orientated corporate culture to lead the company in our expansion.The Procurement Manager, reporting directly to the VP, Supply Chain, is responsible for leading the Company's day-to-day procurement operations, managing a team of buyers, and ensuring the timely, compliant, and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services in support of the Company's nuclear projects. The role drives procurement process discipline, supplier performance, and regulatory compliance while supporting the VP, Supply Chain in executing broader supply chain strategy.Other Responsibilities Include:Lead and oversee day-to-day procurement activities, including purchase order issuance, supplier selection, and contract execution, ensuring on-time delivery of goods and services.Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Buyers, setting priorities, reviewing workload, and building procurement capability within the team.Lead negotiations with suppliers on pricing, terms, and delivery commitments, and manage supplier relationships and performance to ensure quality and reliability.Ensure procurement activities comply with applicable nuclear regulatory requirements (including NRC and CNSC), export control regulations, Title 10 Code of Federal Regulations, and Company quality standards.Develop and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and reporting metrics, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, cost, and process discipline.Partner with Engineering, Quality, Finance, Legal, and Project Management to align procurement activities with project schedules and business priorities.Support the qualification and maintenance of the Company's Approved Suppliers List (ASL) in coordination with the VP, Supply Chain and Quality.Core CompetenciesLeadership and team managementAbility to lead, coach, and develop a team of Buyers to meet project and business objectives.Negotiation and supplier managementSkilled in negotiating commercial terms and managing supplier relationships and performance.Regulatory and compliance knowledgeWorking knowledge of nuclear regulatory requirements and export control regulations as they apply to procurement.Process and organizational disciplineAbility to establish and maintain structured procurement processes in a fast-paced, growing organization.Communication and collaborationEffective communicator able to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Legal.RequirementsA minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing, including experience in the nuclear industry.Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.Familiarity with nuclear regulatory requirements such as NRC and CNSC, including 10 CFR.Familiarity with export control requirementsDemonstrated experience managing or leading a procurement or buying team.Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships and contracts.Experience with ERP and procurement systems (e.g., Oracle SCM, SAP Ariba, or Coupa).Ability to travel occasionally within North America as required.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.AssetsExperience in Small Modular Reactor (SMR) or advanced reactor programs.Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or equivalent.Experience working in a multi-site or global procurement organization.BenefitsExtended Healthcare PlanA vacation policy designed to support your work-life balanceEAP Programs available to you and your familyWellness SubsidyAnnual Performance ReviewCareer development opportunitiesPlease submit a Resume and Cover Letter.Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for sponsorship for employment visa status.Terrestrial Energy Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any legally protected status or group.
