Mechanical Engineer

Join a premier client in the Dyersburg, TN area , supported by Sourceowls, as we seek a talented and proactive individual to fill the role of Mechanical Engineer. Key Responsibilities: Assist in conceptualization, development, and execution of capital projects. Develop detailed scopes of work, budgets, and schedules. Prepare Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) requests. Support project construction, commissioning, and handover processes. Consult with stakeholders to optimize equipment design and performance. Solicit and collaborate with contractors, vendors, and consultants. Conduct engineering reviews of project plans, drawings, and installations. Coordinate and facilitate internal and external project review meetings. Supervise trades and contractors for safety and quality. Serve as a point of contact for technical support and liaison with external agencies. Provide technical support and troubleshooting across US Lumber facilities. Handle verbal, written, and presentation communications for project updates. Assist in facility shutdowns, safety projects, and other assigned duties. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution. Proficient in communication with the ability to read Civil, Structural, and Mechanical Drawings. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with project management experience. Advanced computer skills including MS Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Power BI. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently or within a team. Self-motivated with a commitment to learning, growth, and success. Effective oral and written communication skills across all organizational levels. Demonstrated safety leadership and alignment with company values. Valid drivers license with the ability to travel approximately 40-50% by car or plane.
