Registered Nurse ICU (Neuro)

Contract | Nights | 412-Hour Shifts (19:0007:30) | Onsite | Every other weekend and holiday availability required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Neuro ICU treating neurological diseases, disorders, seizures, and strokes within a comprehensive stroke center environment
• Manage overflow ICU patients from Medical Surgical ICU and Heart and Vascular ICU as needed
• Read and interpret cardiac strips/dysrhythmias as part of routine patient monitoring and assessment
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Float within the specialty cluster or to nearby campuses (within approximately 1015 miles) based on census and staffing needs at the facility's discretion candidate must be comfortable floating with no restrictions
• Maintain availability to work every other weekend and holiday per contract requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (any active state license or compact license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and/or 2 years of comprehensive stroke center experience in a large hospital setting with some Neuro exposure
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible local travelers are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-acuity, large hospital ICU environment
• Familiarity with neurological patient populations including stroke, seizure, and complex neurological disorders
• Comfort with floating across units and campuses based on patient census and skill set
